While it's clear that they interacted with the literate and urban civilizations of Mesopotamia to the west, little is known about these diverse and mysterious peoples living within the Zagros Mountains. However, recent archaeological excavations and research have shed some light on who these fascinating people were and a bit about how they may have lived.
