Two of my good friends recently got married and I offered to make them an end grain butcher block cutting board as a wedding present / house warming gift. They chose a striped design made from Maple and Padauk.

The board is soaked in a mineral oil bath and then finished with a beeswax and mineral oil paste I make myself. I was lucky to source the beeswax from a local apiary in my town.
