The CNC BAYKAL Hybrid Press Brakes combines all the benefits of both hydraulic and all-electric press brake systems into one. If you’re looking for press brakes that are fast, accurate, and energy-efficient, BAYKAL is the way to go.

Superior quality, reliability, innovation, and sustainability are what come to mind when considering BAYKAL press brake machines.

The CNC BAYKAL Hybrid Press Brakes can significantly save energy, save fuel, improve bending efficiency, reduce the risk of oil leakage, reduce installation costs, extend the service life of consumables, improve bending accuracy, reduce noise, and improve the working environment.

The CNC BAYKAL hybrid press brakes system are designed with an individual electro-hydraulic servo drive system and servo pumps to control the for each of the left and right cylinders. The servo motor controls the output flow of the oil pump according to the program setting, and then controls the movement speed and position positioning of the slider, and there is no throttling phenomenon in the whole process. Therefore, all the energy output by the oil pump is supplied to the left-right oil cylinder. This control method does not have any energy loss, and the energy-saving effect is very prominent. With this system the hydraulics run on demand when the foot pedal is activated, rather than having a pump running continuously. This results in lower energy usage than a standard hydraulic machine as well as faster cycle times and extremely high accuracy.

The flow and pressure of Y1 and Y2 oil cylinders are respectively controlled by two sets of servo bidirectional pump systems, and the oil in the upper chamber of the oil cylinder is directly pumped into the lower chamber of the oil cylinder through the oil pump to realize the lifting of the beam.

The reverse rotation of the oil pump pumps the oil in the lower chamber of the oil cylinder directly into the lower chamber of the oil cylinder to realize the pressing and bending of the upper die.

Applicable between from 100 Tons to 1250 Tons, the synchronization of the left and right of the upper beam of the CNC BAYKAL hybrid press brakes is controlled separately by two sets of servo bidirectional pumps.

Increase operating speed, efficiency and reduce energy consumption: the main motor adopts the servo motor to replace the ordinary AC motor as the main power source, and uses the high speed, strong overload capacity, and controllable speed of the servo motor to cooperate with the small displacement oil pump to achieve the high speed, high efficiency and low energy consumption of running.

Energy Efficiency: One of the key advantages of an CNC BAYKAL hybrid press brakes is its energy efficiency. Traditional hydraulic press brakes consume energy constantly, even when not actively bending material, due to the need to maintain hydraulic pressure. When you turn on a traditional hydraulic press brake, you immediately notice that the energy absorption is huge and constant; in fact, the hydraulic pump is constantly active. In contrast, the electric drive in a hybrid system only consumes energy when the machine is in motion, resulting in lower energy consumption and reduced operating costs.

With a BAYKAL hybrid system, the press brake only absorbs the energy it needs when the operator uses the machine. Brushless electrical engines move the crosspiece (consuming energy) only when the pedal is activated, otherwise they are off. This means that the consumption of the press brake is minimum when tools are changed and, in general, during those steps in which the crosspiece is not involved.

The core configuration such as the area ratio of the upper and lower chambers of the oil cylinder, the size of the oil pump, the power of the main servo motor, the form and size of the filling valve, and the integrated response of the oil circuit are optimized, which reduces the cycle time and improves the efficiency by more than 30%.

Electric Drive System: Similar to traditional hydraulic press brakes, the CNC BAYKAL hybrid press brakes utilizes hydraulic power for generating the force needed to bend the sheet metal. However, this hydraulic system is often more energy-efficient and precise than those found in conventional hydraulic presses. The electric drive system in a BAYKAL hybrid press brake replaces the traditional mechanical drive system found in many hydraulic presses. Electric servo motors provide the power for precise movement and control of the ram, eliminating the need for large hydraulic components like pumps, valves, and accumulators. The CNC BAYKAL hybrid press brakes are built with hydraulics to assist the bending process, but without gear pumps. Like an electric press brake, the hybrids shut off to conserve energy when not performing bending functions.
