“In a world that tries to be normal, be DETERMiNED .” This is the poignant message illustrated in the heart-warming short film DETERMiNED, which proudly received three of six awards at Paramount's We Create Drama film festival.

The film follows the story of a young neurodivergent man sensitive to loud noises (misophonia) on his first day of work as a bellhop in the Hotel.

The film uniquely captures how people with sensory sensitivities feel in busy and chaotic environments. Audiences have called it “empathetic,” “wholesome” and “a beautiful narration of a sensitive topic.” Paramount echoed these sentiments by awarding this film Best Cinematography, Best Actor, and Best Director.

DETERMiNED was inspired by the UAE’s commitment to elevating the quality of life and access for people of determination and the writers’ personal connection to autism and cerebral palsy.
