Garavan is a district of the French commune of Menton , located in the arrondissement of Nice , the Alpes -Maritimes department and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region . It is home to the small Menton-Garavan train station . It is located on the border with Italy.
The district is dominated by high cliffs typical of the Mediterranean Riviera , and the acclimatization gardens are still numerous: the Villa Maria Serena , the Clot du Peyronnet or the botanical garden of Val Rahmeh are witnesses to this. The 3-kilometer-long Boulevard de Garavan, lined with pepper and carob trees , leads from the Italian border to the old town of Menton.
