Mavi stopped by the Genius studio to perform his track, “the giver.” Produced by The Beach Noise, the song comes from his latest project, shadowbox. On today’s episode of Open Mic, the Charlotte rapper delivers his bars melodically, gliding over the smooth beat.

MAVI also threw in a surprise for his fans. “I just performed ‘the giver’ with an extra bonus verse,” he tells Genius viewers. “I just wrote it outside like five minutes ago. I hope you guys enjoy it.”
