June 9th 2022 at the Chapel SF in San Francisco California. The Reds, Pinks And Purples opened for the incredible and alway extraordinary folk rock psychedelic band Woods. The Reds, Pinks and Purples in the project of Glenn Donaldson who also plays in The Skygreen Leopards, and Painted Shrines a project with Woods' Jeremy Earl. The shows had highly enthusiastic audience and the city is still on fire from the amazing all-star performance of the Golden State Warriors.

The night was packed with high quality music. I knew Woods would bring down the house but I did not expect to be fully immersed in The Reds, Pinks and Purples. Their 80s Smiths inspire sounds brought the audience to the floor. The two guitars interplayed leads and rhythm interlocking in sublime cohesion. The vocalist commanded attention with his full voice. The melodies of the songs were wonderful and packed with downtrodden lyrics just as 80s goth would have intended.
