In June of 1966, the Cardinal Blazer of MIT was seen on campus for the first time. As an innovation of the MIT Class of 1916, the Cardinal Blazer of the 50th Reunion Class has since become engraved in MIT culture and is recognized as one of the Institute's most honored and treasured traditions.
