Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar ('Padma Shri') is renowned as one of the great classical vocalists of India and considered to be the finest exponent of Gwalior, Jaipur and Agra gharanas of Khyal (a vocal form) in the modern era. This is a video recording of his performance in 'Shri Sankat Mochan Music Festival' on 10th April, 2023 at Varanasi. He is accompanied on the Tabla by 'Taalyogi' Pandit Suresh Talwalkar ('Padma Shri'). Vocal support is provided by his disciples, Prof. Ojesh Pratap Singh and Purnesh Bhagwat. It was a special and memorable concert, as Guru ji sang Raga Shivmat Bhairav, for the very first time in a public performance.
