Above is a simple checkerboard, made from colors of the rainbow - due to each row being offset by one color each time it creates the effect of a spiral as each color moves diagonally down the geometry. The texture is then animated along the geo (shaped like a cone) in order to give the impression of infinitely zooming in to a tunnel, and the render camera is rotating as well to add extra movement/interest. Through scaling down the checkerboard it inadvertently created an almost 8-bit, pixel art, retro feel to it, which was a nice happy accident!

While experimenting in Touchdesigner, it occurred to me that some clean looping rainbow/hypnotic/psychedelic visuals might be of use to people - as a screensaver, background for a Twitch stream, or something for VJs to use as loops for within their sets. Would love to know if this is useful to some of you - and if there are other variations (or similar things with more complexity) that you may also like!
