This song is a Genesis classic and an all-time favourite. It starts quite easy with a 4/4 rock steady beat (Phil Collins said he wanted to play it like Kashmir of Led Zeppelin!), but then through a slow crescendo it gets way more difficult with lots of nuances and that Phil Colling treatment!
I tried to recreate the different grooves and moods of the song and lyrics, which is the most difficult thing to play.
The Squonk is an imaginary small creature of the woods, taken from the "Book of Imanginary Beings" by J.L. Borges, 1957.
