Banga soup is native to Delta state in Nigeria. Palm fruit juice is the base for Bangasoup . A similar soup exists in Akwa Ibom state which is
Abak Atama. What differentiates the two soups are the spices used. The use of the clay pot in banga soup ensures that the soup remains hot for long . Although banga soup can be eaten with eba, pounded yam, or fufu but it is best eaten with yellow cassava starch.
