I researched many options to upgrade my new (new to me) contractor's table saw. Dust collection is a must, and the best solution I found was presented by Dan Pattison.

I was unable to use his measurements and template, but the concepts he presented were easily adaptable to my saw. Chances are you'll be in the same situation as me (unless you have his exact model saw), so I decided to document my process in the hope that it will help people no matter the saw model they possess.

This is what I chose to replace my riving knife. There are other options available, but this seemed the best to me since I'm going to use a zero clearance insert anyway. Make sure to get the correct kerf.
