By the end of this video, you're going to feel confident when it comes to how to solve percent concentration problems. You'll figure out how to identify the percent concentration problems. You'll know that you don't need to memorize the formulas. And most importantly, you'll be able to solve percent concentration problems confidently. We will use 4 percent concentration problems, each of them covering percent by mass, percent by volume and percent mass and volume. We'll start easy and work our way up.
Here are the 4 percent concentration problems we'll work through in this video:
Problem 1:
If I make a solution by adding water to 75mL of ethanol until the total volume of the solution 375mL, whatās the percent by volume of ethanol in the solution?
Problem 2:
You have 200g of a solution that contains 30g of HCl. What percentage of your solution is made up of HCl?
Problem 3:
How would you prepare a 500mL of 30% vinegar in water solution?
Problem 4:
A saline solution, NaCl in water, is 10% (m/v). How many grams of NaCl are required to prepare 35.0mL of this solution?
