「拉薩」在藏語是「聖地」、「佛地」之意，它是一座已有一千三百多年歷史的古城。拉薩又有「日光城」之稱，每年的日照總時數達三千零五小時，天空碧藍如洗，名寺古剎金光閃閃，古寺裡彙集著東方的罕世奇珍，兼藏著千年的絢麗瑰寶；這個世界屋脊上的聖地，像謎一樣地吸引著世人。
本次演出第二樂章〈雅魯藏布江〉：雅魯藏布江位於拉薩之南，是西藏的第一大江；它不僅哺育了西藏的民眾，也是西藏文化的泉源。音樂好似一首萬浪奔流、波瀾壯闊的江河之歌，唱起歲月如斯的感嘆。

"Lhasa," meaning "Holy Land" and "Buddha Land" in Tibetan, is an ancient city with a history of over 1,300 years. Lhasa is also known as the "Sunshine City," having 3005 hours of sunshine each year. Under the bright blue sky, these golden ancient temples contain collections of rare treasures from the East that are over a thousand years old. Situated on top of the world, this holy land is a splendid gem, and a mesmerizing mystery.

"Yarlung Zangbo River" is the largest river in Tibet and located south of Lhasa. It not only a source of nourishment for the people, but it is also the source of Tibetan culture. This movement paints a picture of crushing waves and magnificent rushing rivers singing, reflecting the passage of time.
