PLEASE NOTE: This is the 2009 Typhoon Nangka, not the 2015 one!
Watch in HD! This is a timelapse from 7am until 9pm of Typhoon Nangka hitting Hong Kong.
Check out the rain walls at 0:50, 1:10, 1:45, 4:10, lights going up at 4:30. Its interesting how the clouds change direction while the typhoon moves from the south to the north-east (camera looking north).

Music Artist: Dax Johnson
Song: Greysen - Slow Beginning

This was recorded with a Canon 50D and a 17-55mm 2.8 lens. I switched off the Autofocus, Image stabilizer, set the ISO to fix 100 and left the aperture/exposure to automatic. Also a black cloth was taped to the window and hung over the camera to avoid reflections in the window from the lights in the room.

The Camera was connected to the PC with a USB Cable and to power with a AC-Cable. The Canon software was steering the camera to take 1 image every 10 sec. It took almost 5000 images with 1MB per image (=5GB of Data). One issue was that the vibrations from the exposure de-focussed the image over time.
