Today we'll review our Amsterdam Canal tour. We used flagship Amsterdam for our tour. Our tour included wine and cheese.
It was a very wonderful tour. The Amsterdam canals are a UNESCO World Heritage site and pass by many significant locations.
The canal system connects the 90 islands that make up the city of Amsterdam. The canal system itself is 60 miles long,
60 miles long. Some of the sites you will see
17th century canal houses. These beautiful narrow houses are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and are one of the most iconic sites in Amsterdam.
It was really interesting to see how they're leaning. Right. The Anne Frank House, this is a must see visit for anyone interested in World War II history. The house where Anne Frank hid from the Nazis is now a museum dedicated to her story,
The Westerkerk. This 17th century church is one of the tallest buildings in Amsterdam and offers stunning views of the city from the top. It's great to take pictures up from the outside. Yeah,
I was gonna say I, we like the pictures. The Skinny bridge, Mars burg. This narrow bridge is one of the most photographed bridges in Amsterdam. Mimi took a lot of pictures, but she doesn't
Remember it, I'm up to shoot. I will. The Reichs Museum. This world famous museum houses a vast collection of Dutch art, including masterpieces by Rembrandt and Vermeer,
The Van Gogh Museum. This museum is home to the world's largest collection of Van Gogh's paintings. I highly recommend that you get a personal tour guide for that one.
We had a wonderful guide.
Yes. It really ment the difference in the trip it made, correct? Yep.
And then there's the flower market. It's the floating market and it's a great place to buy flowers, souvenirs, and other trinkets. It's located on single
Canal. And you really enjoyed that? I
Liked it. It was pretty,
Some locals actually live in house boats on the canals of Amsterdam.
I don't think anybody lived in that one, but it was a really cute boat.
It was a really cute boat. The Jordaan district is a charming neighborhood, known for its narrow streets, canals, and traditional Dutch houses.
We actually stayed in this district. It is located near the flower market and a few museums.
It was wonderful to walk around. It had a real interesting vibe. Right. I thoroughly enjoyed our canal cruise and I would like to go back and do it at night to see the city lights.
I would too. And even add dinner to that cruise.
Oh, sounds like you're wanting to go back my love. Sure. Alright. Anytime. Anytime. We'll see if we can make that happen. watch this playlist to see where else we reviewed in Amsterdam. Thanks for watching.
We'll see you next time on Mimi and G.
