Making a copy is good to learn how a artist thought about his subject.
Colours, design and atmosphere are all invented already for you.
So it is not difficult to make a copy. The difficult part is to know you made almost nothing.
Just learn the techniques and use it on your own work.

Painted on a quarter sheet Bockingford 200lb made by StCuthbertsmil.
Its really a nice paper to paint on!
The 200Lb was specially made for Edward Wesson it seems, he painted on 140lb, but that goggled a bit so he asked the factory if they could make it heavier and they made it, and that's why we still have it today!
