today is the day! I'm organizing, planning, and getting my life together!! I'm restructuring my morning routine, and creating a new daily schedule that will help me work towards my goal of becoming a fully self employed freelance illustrator.

This is what my new schedule looks like:
1. wake up earlier
2. feed my kitten
3. put away the dishes (doing a small chore in the morning helps me wake up and feel like I've accomplished something early in the day)
4. eat breakfast (burrito, iced coffee, and yogurt)
5. five minute journal (I write three things I'm grateful for, three things I'd like to accomplish today, and daily affirmations. At night I reflect on my highlights of the day and what I learned)
6. go on a walk (hot girl walk)
7. get dressed (GRWM, OOTD, doing my makeup)
8. get stuff done!!! (some admin work on my computer, responding to emails, and working on freelance illustration projects. I'm also making it a point to incorporate drawing in my sketchbook, drawing for fun, or spending time on my personal passion projects everyday. Not only is this good for my creative practice and mental wellbeing, but it will also help me build my art portfolio)

Have you been staying up late and oversleeping? Well, me too. And it's time for me to start a better & healthier daily routine/habits. Since I'm a recent college grad, I don't have much of a structure anymore, and I need to create one for myself. So let's make a to-do list!

Another important part of "getting my life together" is making sure I have a clean and beautiful space to live in. Today I'm tidying up, rearranging some things, and purging items I don't need anymore. After my chores, I'm spending some time sketching and planning my next art project: I'm repainting an antique toy chest. So I'm coming up with ideas for design embellishments I'd like to paint.

One thing that helps me go to sleep earlier is reading before bed because it makes me so relaxed. I picked up some books from Barnes & Noble, and now I have a little TBR + book haul! I got The Memory Police by Ogawa Yoko, The Lying Life of Adults by Elena Ferrante, and The Postcard by Anne Berest. These are all fiction books. I wanted to get a few physical books because my Kindle had too many options to choose from, and I couldn't decide what to read next!

I hope you enjoy this cozy, relaxing artist studio vlog. I also hope you enjoyed the inside peak of my girly trinket tray, my bedside table, and my cute cat sunbathing in the window (how very aesthetic). I hope you liked the ambient music during my peaceful walk through nature, and the ASMR of my shoes as I step on the pebbles. AND I hope you had as much fun as I did getting dressed and ready! I'm wearing my new vintage denim overalls that I got from the antique mall. I also loved giving you the update on my new haircut & bangs.

Thank you so much for being here!
