চলতি বছর শুরু হচ্ছে পাটুরিয়া-দৌলতদিয়া ফেরিঘাটের আধুনিকায়নের কাজ। এ কারণে নৌপরিবহন মন্ত্রণালয় পেয়েছে প্রায় ১৪০০ কোটি টাকা। এর আওতায় বাড়ছে ঘাটের সংখ্যা ও টার্মিনালের পরিধি। প্রকল্পটি বাস্তবায়িত হলে ঘাটের দুই পাশের যানজট কমবে বলে আশা করা হচ্ছে।
