Effexor (venlafaxine) is one of the most difficult antidepressants to stop, with a short half-life and notoriously severe withdrawal symptoms.

This session will focus on the science behind discontinuing Effexor, clinical considerations, and how we apply this at Outro.

As a psychiatric resident, Dr. Shapiro was involved in the original conceptualization on hyperbolic tapering of antidepressants driven by his own lived experience with antidepressant withdrawal.
