High Junk Peak (Chinese: 釣魚翁; lit. 'Kingfisher') is a mountain inside Clear Water Bay Country Park, Sai Kung, New Territories, Hong Kong, with a height of 344 metres (1,129 ft).

How to get there: From Hang Hau MTR Station, walk 10 minutes to Po Ning Road and catch the 103M minibus to Ng Fai Tin – alight at the Chinese style pavilion on the right hand side of Clearwater Bay Road. You can also find taxis lined up outside the Hang Hau MTR Station, with the journey taking no more than 10 minutes.

Cross the road and walk up the steps to the right of the pavilion. At the first fork, take the path to the left following the route to Tai Miu, home to the temple at the end of the hike.

Take a break at Sheung Yeung Shan, the route’s first vantage point, which overlooks Kowloon East, Clearwater Bay and the LOHAS Park complex.

Continue along High Junk Peak trail – the path is easy to follow – although the dense undergrowth in some places means walking in single file.

In the distance lies the finish line at Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club. Buses and taxis travel along Tai Au Mun Road, which runs almost parallel to the trail and is your route back to civilisation.

As for us we did another way bec the stairs have ribbon indicating that its not passable at the moment for some landslide in the trail ..

Just follow the above guidelines if your planing your hike there .. #naturehike #hiking #adventure #nature #trekking #hikingadventure #friends #hongkonghike #fun
