PAINTING VIDEO DESCRIPTION – This canvas painting tutorial will take you through easy step-by-step instructions on how to draw and paint this funny animal portrait painting of "HOW TO SNIFF BUTTS” with acrylic paint. Ever wonder what book your dog would enjoy reading if they could actually read? I have four dogs named Chopper, Chowder, Cheddar and Chicken, each with their own distinct personalities and I can just imagine what each of them would enjoy reading: Chopper would read, How to Stink up the House, Chowder would read, How to Sleep All Day in Everyone’s Way, Cheddar would read, How to Act Totally Out-of-Control Every Waking Moment, and Chicken would read, How to Bark like a Maniac at Absolutely Nothing. If you love dogs and you own one or two yourself then join me and paint with acrylics this humorous image of your funny furry companion enjoying a good read. This is really one of those easy acrylic paintings that you can customize to fit your dog and their personality. Paint a Labrador, Golden Retriever, Poodle, Australian Shephard, German Shepherd, Beagle, Pug, Rottweiler, Doberman pinscher, Bulldog, whatever best friend you have sleeping at the end of your bed. And any dog can read just about anything; popular books like the Bible, The Da Vinci Code, 50 Shades of Gray, or popular magazine such as, People, US Weekly, Time, Cosmopolitan, Better Homes and Garden, National Geographic, Reader’s Digest, Maxim, Farmer’s Almanac, or make up your own book based upon your dog’s personality and what you think they would enjoy reading. Add reading glasses, a hat or a smoking pipe to your cute canine or have them sitting in a recliner chair with a cup of coffee or tea with dog treats on a side table. Use this painting as a guide and inspiration to personalize your precious pooch. The first lesson you’ll learn in this beginner painting lesson is how to paint a background using soft neutral colors for a relaxing wall color that will imply the presence of a light or lamp in the corner. After learning how to draw a dog and a book using a dot-to-dot method, you’ll apply a simple base coat to work off of. Next paint highlights and shadows on your book for added depth and dimension, giving it a 3-D appearance like a photograph. You’ll then learn how to paint the eyes, nose, ears and all of the fur using directional brushstrokes and a layering technique. You’ll be amazed at how simple the painting process is! Using only 3 brushes and 6 colors you’ll create the most adorable animal canvas painting in the world! Paint loosely and make it an abstract painting, paint with oils and make it fine art, use bold yellows and red to make it pop art! Not just an inspirational painting with a storybook illustration narrative, but an easy painting for beginners. Paint at home, alone, or with friends! Have a date night, paint party, or virtual paint night. Paint with gouache, oil paint, or water colour, any medium will work! I hope you enjoy watching this YouTube art video and let's get painting and let's get sipping!
