Ògbómọ̀ṣọ́, the land of brave, is a city between Ìkòyí, Igbọ́n, Ìrẹṣà, and Ẹdẹ. It was founded around mid-17th century, and it was a minor outpost of the (Yorùbá) Old Ọ̀yọ́ Empire until the beginning of the Muslim-Fulani conquests around early 19th century.
