Panzer Dragoon was a blossoming Sega IP born and raised on an underappreciated console: the Sega Saturn. And after two highly enjoyable rail-shooters, too much interest was accumulated in its world and all of the lore behind it. It was high time to dive head-first into it all with a story-centric RPG - and thus, Panzer Dragoon Saga was born. This is a game that utterly bombed upon impact as a result of its impossibly large competition, Final Fantasy VII, but has since garnered an incredibly large cult following to where if you wanted to play it for yourself, you'd either have to go through tons of legally-gray hoops, or take out a loan. How could any one game be so screwed over by time in every way imaginable? And what even is that game should you be lucky enough to experience it? Sit back and join me, friends. We're gonna be talking about exactly that today because Panzer Dragoon Saga is such a great game that it's tragic as hell. You'll just have to watch and see what I mean.
