Verisurf 2025 extends the capabilities of your Renishaw REVO system through support for the RVP Vision' and the RFP Fringe Probes. These 5-axis, non-contact sensors, enable measurement of a wide range of parts and features that would otherwise be difficult to inspect. The RVP and RFP are ideal for automated inspection of parts; both probes can be used with inspection plans programmed in verisurf AUTOMATE, and run in 'online' or 'offline' mode.

The Renishaw RVP Vision Probe captures an image of the part and determines feature position and size based on contrast, by creating points at the dark-to-light transition, which are then fitted to a feature. A digital read-out displays the captured view, with crosshairs marking the nominal feature location. The RVP is designed to measure features such as circles, lines, slots, and ellipses, as well as 2D profile.

The Renishaw RFP Fringe probe is a 3D structured light scanner that operates by taking multiple scans, which are combined into a point cloud. These 3D scans can be used to calculate feature geometry, or to inspect surface profile tolerance condition. The results can be used to create analysis reports featuring deviation color maps.

The RFP also has vision capabilities similar to the RVP, which allows it to be used in the most efficient mode for both 2D and 3D feature measurement. The results from either sensor can be used to generate an inspection report showing the tolerance condition in both graphical and tabular form. Verisurf stores captured and scanned images for retrieval and traceability, and images can be imported and exported.

The image fit tab displays the captured image to enable interactive modification of the fitting region and threshold, for ultimate control over the processed image. Images can be zoomed and panned, and the processing region can be modified by removing or adding one or more regions to enclose features such as circles and slots as well as lines and 2D profiles. As the processing region and threshold values are changed, the results are updated immediately to make editing more intuitive.

This combination of image storage, retrieval, and traceability combined with fine, interactive control of image processing settings make Verisurf the most powerful solution available for the Renishaw RVP and RFP sensors.
