Dr Chee Soon Juan, Secretary-General of the Singapore Democratic Party (SDP), discussed moral leadership within Singapore's ruling People's Action Party (PAP) during a forum last Saturday.

He specifically addressed the Ridout rentals and how the mindset of entitlement among ministers could fracture society.

"While the people may have no choice but to accept the parliamentary debate, but the saga is not closed, we can be sure that the wounds of resentment will continue to fester. Now even as we celebrate our 43rd anniversary of our founding, a very solemn message for the PAP, heed our warning. You do not, you cannot continue to lead the country without a moral compass." said Dr Chee.
