Partita for violin solo no. 2 in D minor BWV 1004 (transcription for viola)
I. Allemande 00:05
II. Courante 04:51

Abstract: Extract from a masterclass by Prof. Ana Bela Chaves in which she gives guidelines to the viola student on the phrasing for I. Allemande of the Bach's Partita no. 2. She also speaks about the importance of playing Bach and the transcriptions of his works from violin and cello that make the viola repertoire richer. About the second movement, Chaves makes corrections regarding the tempo: it should be quiter and more appropriate to the type of dance, in order to achieve a suitable rhythm.
