BUDDYMOON DAY 543/1000 (VLOG 143)

Today is Day 3 of the Thakhek loop. What was suppose to be a 3 day loop turned into a 4 day loop.

Day 3 has been the day that we have been looking forward to most and that is due to the things that we are going to be doing on this day. First on the list was The Rock Viewpoint. The plan here was to do a 5 line zipline through rocky mountains, but this was no ordinary zipline, we had to do a little bit of rock climbing, suspension bridges and walk on netting that was 70 meters high above the ground from one cliff to another. This has to be one of the craziest ziplines we have ever done and one we highly recommend.

What we wanted to see most on day 3 was Konglor cave. This cave is said o be one of the most impressive caves in the world. Konglor cave is 7.5km long but its no ordinary gave, a river runs through it so the only way to expore this cave is via a small wooden boat. We wanted to explore the cave and then put our scooter on a ferry to cross to the other side of the mountain but little did we know that we would actaully have to take our scooter with inside the cave while we explore it. This means that our scooter is also going to be on the small wooden half sinking boat with us.

All I can say is that this is going to be an adventure and a half. Just as a hint: there is no lights in the cave, our boat rider has to navigate this 7.5km long river with only the single battery powered headlight on his forehead.
