I like to think of mountain biking in the 90s as heady times, just like motocross in the 80s. When manufacturers were entering new grounds and exploring avenues yet to be discovered, let alone refined. GT was always an exciting brand to me, not just for the cool and interesting range of bikes they produced but also the gorgeous colours they had back then.

Oh did I lust a LTS DH when I was younger, in a ball burnished finish or a Zaskar in either anodized purple or aqua turquoise.. or a Xizang that I'd just stare at endlessly in my local bike shop. That era has always been a vivid memory. Simpler times with pretty, vibrant colours.. Which was the inspiration for the makeover. A nod back to my LTS1000DS, with elements of RTS and some anodized parts to finish it off.
