Hard-Learned Lessons from Baking with my Dog:

DON'T - When the recipe says to add water in small amounts, add water in small amounts. I added about a 1/3 cup all at once and oh boy was that dough wet and sticky.

DO - Use flour to balance out the moisture in the dough so you can actually cut cookies out of it before your dog eats it all.

DON'T - A 3D-printed, anatomical heart cookie cutter sounds super cool, until you use it on the super wet dough and the dough gets stuck in all the little shapes and be a nightmare to clean.

DO - Flour your cookie cutter before cutting each cookie, and use a chopstick to gently poke the dough out of the cookie cutter. Also have a regular, simple shape cookie cutter on deck for when you tire of poking out cookies while fending off your dog.
