I built a logging caboose at one to one scale. This model was built over the course of 5 years. It sits on the site of the tracks the real one once ran on. It is actually sitting on the ties left after the tracks were pulled up in the 1950’s.

I made my plans up from photographs of the original caboose and I had the framing lumber milled by my neighbor from logs and the finished lumber was as close as I could get to that seen in the photos. The interior is conjecture because I have no images of the inside.

I’m still slowly working on it and add things as I find parts or make new ones. I’m still looking for appropriate wheels and other metal parts. At some point I hope to have it up on rails again.
