On today’s episode of the Green Table Talk Jennen is joined by guest Charles Cook. Charles shares his journey from joining the naval academy to him being diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. This is a hereditary condition he didn’t know had until he was 17 years old. Charles was not able to attend the academy in its entirety, and had to leave due to this new diagnosis. Charles shares that he died on the operating table during his LVAD operation. Also, during that surgery he was met with a host of other complications. His kidneys died during the operation, so he was on hemodialysis until his kidney transplant in 2017. Charles also had complications with some of the prescription medication that he had to take for his heart condition. Some of these prescriptions caused other issues such as diabetes and lung disease that he had to fight back against. Charles also shares how God has brought him through his journey to this point. He explains to the viewer that he still has a job to complete.
