This Abhang provides a magnificent description of Goddess Amba Bai, revered as the consort of Lord Panduranga (Vitthala) and an embodiment of Maha Lakshmi in her Moola form. It conveys her beauty, grandeur, and divine power, while also showing deep devotion to the divine feminine, who nurtures and sustains the universe. At the end of each line all we ask Mother Amba Bai is to place us forever at the holy feet of Deva Panduranga (Mazhala Thayi Dyava Payi).

The first stanza highlights Amba Bai's extraordinary beauty. Her face is radiant, her earrings (kundale) are mesmerizing, and her hair, like serpentine locks, enhances her divine form. Her forehead is adorned with sacred sandalwood paste and musk (Kasturi), symbolizing her purity. Her wide eyes, that destroys all sins, radiate compassion. She is adorned with a golden-yellow silk garment (Pitambara), and her entire being is fragrant with sandalwood, emphasizing her transcendence over both the material and spiritual realms.

In the second stanza, Amba Bai is described as the source of all auspiciousness. Her presence brings prosperity, radiating a brilliance that outshines even the sun and moon. She embodies royal grace (Rajasa Tejo Rashi), her magnificence is mysterious to even celestial beings like Brahma and others. Her cosmic play (Leela) is beyond comparison and remains incomprehensible to all.

The third stanza portrays her as a delicate yet powerful figure. Her arms are both slender and fair, radiating strength and beauty. Her chest is adorned with sparkling jewels, while the melodious sound of small bells tied to her waist adds a musical touch to her divine movements. Her feet, as they move in an eternal cosmic dance, symbolize the continuous creation and sustenance of the universe.

In the fourth stanza, Amba Bai is recognized as Adi Shakti Narayani, the primordial energy and consort of Narayana. She is filled with the essence of beauty and grace (Lavanya), representing purity and perfection. Endowed with all divine skills and knowledge (Sarvakala Sampanna), her sweet voice and joyful laughter uplift all of creation. She manifests in many forms, each revealing her role as the eternal power behind the universe.

The fifth stanza connects the worship of Amba Bai to Pandharpur, where she established the city for devotees. The Gondhal ritual, performed on the banks of the Chandrabhaga River, was initiated by her honor, reflecting the deep devotion she has for her husband Lord Panduranga. Led by Krishna Bai (Rukuma Bai), devotees gather to worship the Godhead Lord Pandharinatha, seeking his blessings on their spiritual journey.

Finally, the last stanza acknowledges Amba Bai as the mother of all, worshipped by thirty-three crore deities, including Chamunda and Bhairava. As celestial beings like Narada and Gandharvas sing her praises, the devotee bows down in reverence, recognizing the divine grace bestowed upon the followers / disciples of Tukaram Maharaj. The dust of Lord Narayana's devotees feet brings enlightenment.

This Abhang glorifies Amba Bai, the embodiment of Maha Lakshmi, as the divine nurturer of the universe and consort of Lord Panduranga, and celebrates her unparalleled beauty, power, and compassion.

सुंदर मुख साजिरे कुंडले मनोहर गोमटी वो।
नागर नागखोपा केशर कस्तूरी मळवटी वो।
विशाळ व्यंकट नेत्र वैजयंती तळपे कंठी वो।
कास पितांबराची चंदन सुगंध साजे उटी वो ||१||

अतिबरवंटा बाळा आली सुलक्षणा गोंधळा वो।
राजस तेजोराशी मिरवी शिरोमणी वेळ्हाळा वो।
कोटी रविशशीप्रभा तेजे लोपाल्या सकळा वो।
न कळे ब्रह्मादिका अनुपम्य इची लिळा वो ||२||

सावळी सुकुमार गोरी भुजा शोभती चारी वो।
सखोल वक्षस्थळ सुढाळ पदक झळके वरी वो।
कटी क्षुद्र घंटिका शब्द करिताती माधुरी वो।
गर्जती चरणी वांकी अभिनव संगीत नृत्य करी वो ||३||

अष्टांगी मंडित काय वर्णावी रूप ठेवणी वो।
सोलीन शुद्ध रसाची ओतिव लावण्याची खाणी वो।
सर्वकळासंपन्न मंजुळ बोले हास्यवदनी वो।
बहु रूपे नटली आदिशक्ति नारायणी वो ||४||

घटस्थापना केली पंडरपुर महानगरी वो।
अस्मानी मंडप दिला तिन्न तळावरी वो।
आरंभिला गोंधळ इने चंद्रभागे तिरी वो।
आली भक्तिकाजा कृष्णाबाई योगेश्वरी वो ||५||

तेहतिस कोटी देव चामुंडा अष्ट कोटी भैरव वो।
आरत्या कुरवंड्या करिती पुष्पांचा वारूषाव वो।
नारद तुंबर गायन ब्रह्मानंदे करिती गंधर्व वो।
वंदी चरणराज तेथे तुकयाचा बंधव वो ||६||
