Njeri Migwi is truly a remarkable woman. She is a mother and the Executive Director of Usikimye Kenya, an NGO that fights against sexual and gender based violence. An organisation she began while she was still living under sexual and gender based violence, afraid to leave.

And in this sixth episode, Kalekye sits down with Njeri to have a much needed conversation that opens us to a world of marrying young, believing in staying and praying for a marriage despite the emotional, mental and physical abuse to marrying for survival and still having the will to love again.

How does one heal and still believe in love after the one she trusted and called husband beat her so bad it left her deaf in one ear? How does one trust again and how should they be made feel safe when we can tell their guard is constantly up?
There must be time to heal and have an identity away from titles and those willing to love a victim of assault must be kind, understanding and have a lot of patience.
