“Tread”라는 단어의 원래 의미는 “밟는다” 입니다. 자동차에서는 타이어의 바닥 접지면을 ‘트레드’라고 부르며, 그 위에 새겨진 패턴은 미끄럼방지를 위한 것으로, 이것이 타이어의 접지면에 새겨진 무늬를 의미합니다. 매년 약3천만개의 폐타이어가 발생하며, 전세계적으로 대략 10억 개가 생산된다고 합니다. 이렇게 타이어가 쓰임을 다하고 트레드가 마모되어 폐타이어가 어린이놀이터의 완충재, 재생타이어, 신발깔창등 다양한 용도로 재탄생되는 과정이 나비가 주름진 번데기를 거쳐 나비가 되는 과정같이 느껴져 다이나믹, 재탄생, 희망의 메시지를 의상에 담아보고자 했습니다. 트레드무늬를 블랙으로 시작해 파스텔 톤으로 시각화했고, 국내 진주실크 소재에 나비와 꽃패턴을 디지털 프린팅하여 메세지화 하였습니다. 또 업사이클데님과 기능성소재를 믹스 매치하여 클래식하면서도 스트릿한 트렌디함을 표현했습니다. 칼라는 블랙 앤 화이트를 기반으로 파스텔칼라를 믹스매치 합니다.

It is said that about 30 million waste tires are generated every year, and about 1 billion are produced worldwide. The process by which tires are used and the tread is worn out and the old tires are recreated for various purposes such as cushioning materials, regenerated tires, and shoe insoles in children's playgrounds I wanted to put a message of dynamic, rebirth, and hope in my costume because it felt like a butterfly became a butterfly through a wrinkled pupa. Starting with black, the tread pattern was visualized in pastel tone, and butterflies and flower patterns were digitally printed on domestic pearl silk material to make a message. In addition, upcycle denim and functional materials were mixed and matched to express classic and street trend. The collar mixes and matches pastel collars based on black and white.
