Creating a pool game from cardboard is a fun and rewarding DIY project that combines creativity, crafting skills, and a love for games. Follow these steps to build your own mini pool table from simple materials, perfect for hours of entertainment.

Materials Needed:
Large piece of sturdy cardboard
Cardboard tubes (from paper towels or wrapping paper)
Green felt or fabric
Scissors
Ruler
Pencil
Glue (hot glue gun recommended)
Craft knife
Small rubber balls or marbles (for the pool balls)
Wooden skewers or dowels (for the cues)
Paint or markers (optional for decoration)
Tape
Instructions:
1. Create the Base:

Cut a large rectangular piece of cardboard to form the base of your pool table. The size is up to you, but a common size is about 24 inches by 12 inches.
2. Make the Bumpers:

Cut strips of cardboard about 2 inches wide and the length of each side of your base. These will be the bumpers.
Score the cardboard strips lengthwise down the middle so you can easily fold them to form a right angle. Glue these to the edges of the base to create the walls of the pool table.
3. Add the Playing Surface:

Cover the inside of the pool table (the base and the bumpers) with green felt or fabric. Use glue to secure it in place. This will give your pool table an authentic look and smooth surface.
4. Create the Pockets:

Cut out six holes in the playing surface for the pockets: one in each corner and one in the middle of each long side. Make sure they are large enough for your balls to pass through but not too big.
5. Make the Legs:

Use cardboard tubes to create legs for your pool table. Cut four tubes to equal lengths (about 4 inches each) and glue them securely to the bottom corners of the base.
6. Prepare the Pool Balls:

Use small rubber balls or marbles as pool balls. If desired, paint them in the traditional pool ball colors and numbers for added realism.
7. Create the Pool Cues:

Cut wooden skewers or dowels to a suitable length (about 8-12 inches). These will be your pool cues. You can wrap one end with tape for a better grip.
8. Optional Decoration:

Paint the outside of the bumpers and legs to match the traditional pool table look. You can also add any additional decorations or designs to personalize your table.
9. Assemble and Play:

Place your pool balls on the table and use the cues to start playing. Adjust the table's stability as needed by reinforcing the legs or base with extra cardboard or supports.
Enjoy your homemade cardboard pool game! It's a fantastic way to bring the fun of pool to any space and a great project to share with friends and family.
