Arecanut is an important plantation crop of the district. Nowadays due to climatic change lot of problems are arising in a Arecanut. bacterial leaf stripe is another important disease most common in Central part of the Karnataka. the disease is more prevalent in rainy season than the summer season. but due to climates change now the disease is occurring in summer season. The symptoms of this this is yellowing of the lower leaves and then gradually leaves become burnt like appearance then the plant will become die. to control this disease spray of copper oxychloride @ 3 g per liter of water and Bacterinashak @ 0.5 g per liter of water.
