How to cook eggs on a stainless steel pan without sticking: First, turn on your stove to almost medium heat—mine is on number 4. Then, set a 5-minute timer for your pan to preheat. Drop a few drops of water on the pan when the timer goes off. If the water floats around, you know the pan is ready. If the water evaporates, preheat for another 30 seconds.
On my stove, the 5-minute timer works every time, and I no longer use the water trick. Now, add your favorite fat or oil. I'm using a spoonful of bacon grease. Let that melt. Then, crack the eggs, season them, and let them cook without moving them around. Flip if needed and cook for another minute. And there you have it - perfectly cooked eggs on a stainless steel pan.
