The Guardians of the Galaxy are currently a staple in the MCU as being fan-favorites, but they weren't always that way. They were never popular comic characters, and could never compare to the success of teams like The Avengers. That changed in 2014 when James Gunn released the Guardians' first movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which was a very risky move at the time, and it was a roaring phenomenon. Gunn proved that proved there was something special to these characters that people connected with and found extremely entertaining. Now that we've reached the third outing in the Guardians franchise, in this video I examine what the heart of the Guardians is that's so special and why they went from being some of my least favorite characters to being some of the best in the entire MCU...
