WBUR senior political reporter Anthony Brooks moderated an evening inspired by his series The Third Act, which profiles people who worked full careers and re-invented themselves later in life, often in surprising and inspirational ways. Brooks was joined by:

- Bill McKibben, environmentalist who launched the Third Act, which organizes people over the age of 60 to work on climate and racial justice
- Julieanna Richardson, public historian and founder & executive director of The HistoryMakers, which preserves, develops and provides easy access to an archival collection of African American video oral histories
- Lyn Slater, a former professor of social work at Fordham University who became a fashion influencer known as The Accidental Icon
- Composer, pianist, and multi-instrumentalist Ben Cosgrove will open the show. Copies of Slater’s book, “How to Be Old: Lessons in Living Boldly from the Accidental Icon” will be available for purchase from Beacon Hill Books. Slater will sign copies following the conversation.
