In this video I try and explain Top out efficiency. It all sums up to.. KEEP YOUR PARTNER BUSY. then keep yourself busy. It's about planning the next move.

**Communicate openly**
Basic thoughts
Top person keep cut person busy
• Give next sheet size
• Give numbers to next sheet
• Give insulation sizes
• ask for next sheet

Cut person keep top guy busy
• Feed the next sheet
• Hand pieces up the way are to be installed
• Ask for the next number(s)
• Get next sheet ready
• get next area stocked cleaned and ready

There are exceptions and more that can be done. But As much as possible, don't just watch your partner work.

Keep yourself busy
• Other numbers to grab
• insulate while sheet is cut
• Prepare next area
• clean up last area
• screw off sheets installed
• screw off tops of sheets nearby or where your topping out.
• what else?

I do these video off the cuff. bare with me as we explore many ways to build with metal studs. Some of these tips I picked up from journeyman andor apprentices others came to me through experience.
