Black Locust - Robinia Pseudoacacia
I share notes here on this powerful and useful tree in our young food forest landscape. If you are interested in planting them and have intentions of pruning, harvesting chop and drop mulch from them, or digging anywhere around them, you can expect powerful shoots and suckers to erupt all around them. We appreciate this attribute and work with it, but it is something to be aware of.
We love working with this plant and will plan to continue to plant them out, we just want folks to know what they are getting into when they plant them!
