Founded by Julius Caesar in 59 BCE as a settlement for his veteran soldiers, it quickly evolved into a thriving center of trade and finance. During the Renaissance, the city experienced its golden age, thanks to patrons such as the Medici family, who supported artists like Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo.

Our film is divided into three parts, each painting a vivid picture of life in this extraordinary city. The first part focuses on the historic Cathedral Square, the cultural and spiritual heart of Florence. Here, you'll see the imposing Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore with its majestic dome designed by Brunelleschi, dominating the cityscape. Adjacent to it stands Giotto's Bell Tower, famous for its beautiful city views, and the Baptistery of St. John, known for Ghiberti's remarkable bronze doors. Let’s not forget the Cathedral Museum, which houses treasures related to these magnificent monuments.

The second part of the film takes us to the Uffizi Gallery—one of the most important art museums in the world, home to works by Botticelli, Caravaggio, and other masters. We then visit the Pitti Palace, the last residence of Florence's rulers, and right next door, the beautiful Boboli Gardens, a perfect place for a tranquil walk among fountains and sculptures.

The third part is a stroll through Florence, allowing you to feel the atmosphere of this unique place. Walk across the Ponte Vecchio, visit the Republic Square, and proceed to the Church of Santa Croce, where great Italians such as Michelangelo and Galileo are entombed. Scenes of everyday life are also included—markets where you can experience local flavors and cozy restaurants and wineries where we had the chance to taste exquisite Italian dishes and wines.
