Lapinha da Serra is a small village located in Serra do Cipó, in the countryside of Minas Gerais State, in Brazil.

During our stay, in a climate of peace and quiet, in addition to walking around the village and getting to know several beautiful places there, we went trekking to the beautiful Cachoeira do Lajeado (Lajeado Waterfall).

There are 6km of distance that can be covered on foot or on horseback. Part of the trail can also be covered by kayak.

The trail to the waterfall is considered of medium difficulty, due to the distance, the steep, and gravel terrain at the very end of the path. But nothing to worry about!

It took us about 2h30 on the way, going through beautiful landscapes and feeling quite hot due to the strong sun that was on that day. So, getting to Lajeado and being able to dive into that freezing cold water was a relief!

The place is very nice and the view from the 43 meters high stone wall is really impressive!
