"It's been 40 days and 40 nights in the desert... what's a fella with a Messianic complex gonna do?"

"40" at the 40th - the final song, and we called it. Front and center at the final U2○UV show, I immediately started chanting the chorus to "40" after the "last" song, and the crowd around me joined in. From the look on Bono's smiling face and Adam pointing at us, we surprised them before they had a chance to surprise us. Then Edge and Adam switched guitars and they closed out the 40th and final show with "40," something U2 would do 40 years ago on the War tour, accompanied by us chanting the chorus for possibly the longest time ever - almost 4 minutes.
