This is my thom khem recipe. Thom means to boil and khem means salt. A Lao soup made of hard boiled eggs and pork belly. This dish uses caramelized sugar with splashes of fish sauce while the pork belly and egg soak up all the sweet and savory flavors. It's a delicious dish paired perfectly with a side of freshly made rice. This is the ultimate comfort meal.
