Kinner Kailash is one of the most beautiful pilgrim trail in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Kinner Kailash pilgrim for 2022 was organized from 01st-15th August, 2022 by the state government of Himachal Pradesh.

The trek starts from the Tangling village (2000 m) in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. One needs to register online or offline in order to do the trek as limited number of people were allowed each day so as to keep the ecological footprint to a minimal.

Starting point: Tangling PHC (2000 m)
Mid-point: Ganesh Bagh (3700 m)
Kinner Kailash Shivling (4845 m)

Tangling - Ganesh bagh is 6.5 km with 1700 m elevation gain
Ganesh Bagh to Kinnaur Kailash Shivling is 5 km with 1500 m elevation gain

Total distance: 22 km
Total elevation gain: 3200 m
Difficulty level - moderate to difficult

Trekking tips:
a) Carry a light backpack as there will be accommodation and food options available at Ganesh Bagh during the pilgrim dates. The charges are around Rs 1200/- per person for all meals (bf, lunch, dinner) and tent (sharing basis).
b) Check the weather forecast
c) Break the trek in two days. The sunset at Ganesh bagh is very beautiful
d) Start very early (around 02:00 am) from Ganesh bagh to hike up to the Kinner Kailash shivling
e) Prefer doing the hike during the pilgrim as it becomes easy (no need to carry tent and food)
f) Make sure your body is properly acclimatized
g) Carry 2 Litre water per head from Ganesh bagh
