Here’s a project I’ve been working on for a while; The Last Show of the This Is It Tour (Only Billie Jean) that never happened. My plan was to make it sound like it’s actually the last show, making Michael sound tired by using vocals where he’s tired and/or sick, but still energetic knowing that it’s his last show ever (so he said anyway).

I used the Billie Jean rehearsal for This Is It provided by Jonathan “Sugarfoot” Moffett, (AKA Michael Jackson’s drummer) and I added differences in the instrumentation to indicate the tour had been going around for a while. (Also I realize the guitar might be out of tunes at times, but I didn’t wanna go and redo it as it took a whole lot of time already. So idk, just pretend it’s just another guitar fail that often happens during Michael’s shows lmao)

— Vocals are from 5 different performances, 3 different rehearsals and 1 studio/album song.

Shows I was inspired by;
Tokyo ‘92 (December 31st) because of Michael’s vocal performance and his unique adlibs.
Mexico ‘93 (November 11th) because of Michael’s exhausted vocals, and the audience’s reaction to different parts of the song.
Auckland ‘96 (Both shows) because of different parts of the instrumentation.
Amsterdam ‘97 (June 8th) because of the drums.

— If this gets good feedback, I’ll release the Studio Version to it.
