If you decide to feed birds in your backyard, it's necessary to clean underneath your bird feeders periodically.

Luckily, it doesn't take very long, but this chore is easy to put off for months at a time. I try to tidy up about twice per month.

If you want to prevent such a mess from happening at your bird feeders, try using "No-Waste" birdseed. This type of seed won't include any food that has a shell so everything has already been husked and hulled, leaving only the food that birds will eat!
